Success Story

As Storm Badet raged through the country in October 2023, Flowline Head Office received an emergency call out for reported flooding at Lincoln Football Ground, stating that there were four blocked gullies that needed draining.

Upon arrival the team found the water level of the nearby river to be higher than the flood defence in place. The biggest aim was to ensure the flood did not reach inside of the football stadium or the nearby houses, so the crew began clearing the flood immediately with the added help of some very kind volunteers. The crews worked tirelessly for six days until the water levels remained steady and they were relieved of their duties.

Their hard work received positive feedback from the residents, our clients Balfour Beatty, and Lincolnshire County Council, and even received a special mention from the football club itself. The team stated that jobs like these are extremely satisfying to see the results of their efforts.

Success Story

Areas of Suffolk suffered almost two months’ worth of rain in just four days back in 2023, which caused riverbanks to collapse and had devastating effects for residents.

In Tunstall, Suffolk, one of our Flowline teams were called to clear a flooded pond which was causing the homes nearby to flood for the second time in less than a week. The crew were successful in their task and were branded as ‘heroes’ by a resident affected by the floods.

Success Story

With the country still recovering from the effects of Storm Babet, our Flowline Teams were in action again, responding to emergency callouts as Storm Ciarán hit the country with heavy rain and exceptionally high winds.

One team were called out in Suffolk to clear a severely flooded road threatening to cause significant damage to several nearby properties. The crew were on site within 32 minutes and started working straight away to help prevent any further damage. By clearing ditches and unblocking the gullies, the crew allowed the excess water to flow freely and managed to clear the entire flood within two hours.
